Hi! I'm Eran (pronounced like "Aaron"), a software engineer from Chicago.

Curious by nature, I have always been fascinated by the immense impact that design and technological advancements have on our lives. Throughout my career, I have become very passionate about the intersection of tech and design and I am always seeking the next challenge in those areas.

Born in Tel-Aviv and raised in a Kibbutz, after graduating from high school, I served as a commander in the military for three years and honed my leadership skills. Following an honorable discharge, I proceeded to work as an independent graphic designer, while earning my bachelor's degree in architecture, which led to an early career as an urban designer and project manager. It was there that I was first exposed to database building and web design. Upon moving to Chicago, I decided to master the art & science that is full stack web development at Northwestern University where I also taught code as a TA. I spent a couple of years developing desktop applications and leading brand and haptic design, at a Chicago based startup. Currently I'm a Senior Frontend Developer at Dialexa, an IBM Company providing IT services.

Some of my additional passions include running, playing basketball, watching anime and making art.

Design Enthusiast

My love for art can be traced back to my early childhood (when, to the dismay of my parents, I first discovered this talent by drawing on the walls).
Over the years, I branched out and designed t-shirts, wedding invitations, company logos, tattoos and more. Later on, as an Urban designer, I designed promenades, city squares and neighborhoods (you can check out some of my work here).
At I have worked closley with clients and have collaborated cross functionally with senior management, marketing and sales teams to create and design social media marketing campaigns, award winning applications, packaging, and so much more.

Avid Coder

Having always wanted to learn how to code, I thought of it as learning a universal language, and was mainly motivated by the importance of comprehending it. However, it was only after actually diving in and becoming a full stack developer that I discovered the joy in it, and how satisfying it is creatively.

Genuine Communicator

I truly enjoy meeting new people, learning more about them and about what makes them "tick".
This genuine interest, as well as my past experiences in instructing and mentoring, form the basis of my appreciation of team work, taking part in brainstroming and strategy sessions and giving business presentations.
Being part of a team, as well as leading teams, has become a second nature to me, and I thrive in collaborative environments.

Pathologically Curious

Inquisitive by nature and very passionate about learning new things, I love discovering and mastering new fields.
My past roles in military and urban planning have taught me how to be analytical and methodical when identifying challenges, and then creative and nimble when ideating and formulating tailored solutions.
